How Teva Pharma is Advancing its Logistics Transformation Journey and Building Strong Partnerships

With at least 25 years in the supply chain industry (with 15 years in pharma), Ravinder Dhar, Director of Supply Chain - APAC Markets at Teva Pharma Australia shares with us the tips he has for large companies looking to drive transformation in their end-to-end supply chain. The supply chain process in pharma is extremely complicated as it’s highly regulated, and starting with a clear strategy is important to the transformation, knowing whether you’d like to build a supply chain that is customer-centric or cost-effective. But it doesn’t stop there.

After a successful implementation, companies need to work hard to ensure a culture of continuous improvement and build strong, lasting partnerships and enhance their collaboration with suppliers. Technology is constantly being enhanced and expectations are ever changing, and companies need to ensure that their strategies are being updated at the same pace (or more!) to stay ahead of the curve.

There’s an importance to organisation culture as well, where every member of your organisation understands its value. Introduce inclusivity and openness to your company as well, where people can sincerely offer new perspectives and ways of thinking, and are able to openly share their ideas without the fear of criticism and failure, allowing for innovation and skill development. If employees are open to new experiences, they’ll feel happier and improve staff morale. This way, everyone has the trust and freedom to express themselves, while respecting and appreciating thoughts and ideas from their peers.
