Sustainability up close: why getting close to the cause matters with Prathyusha Parakala

Prathyusha Parakala, Program Manager, Sustainability at Dr Reddy's is one of the most inspirational women we’ve had the great pleasure to meet!  Prathyusha talks us through her journey to Antarctica (where she was bitten by a penguin!) and the reason why she felt so compelled to get closer to the planet in her mission to drive sustainability and raise awareness for the causes she supports.

Inspired by Sir Robert Swan, Prathyusha explains the importance of inspiring others and how when it comes to sustainability - it begins with a personal audit and how taking action in your own day-to-day makes a difference in how you approach policies and campaigns focused around ESG. Prathyusha explains why “it’s not about what position you hold but the action you have taken” and understanding the difference between direct and indirect action, supplier sustainability, waste generation, offset travel, and outcome impact framework.
