Takeda is undergoing a transformation to strategically focus on new & innovative therapies, harnessing state of the art modalities for manufacturing. With these new modalities, the key focus is to ensure a resilient supply chain across the global manufacturing and supply network and to ensure uninterrupted supply of our life saving therapies to our patients, while keeping it agile, cost effective and sustainable for our planet. To enable a future ready supply chain to support this transformation, digital technologies are being explored and deployed to drive efficiency and multi-tier visibility end-to-end. 

In this presentation, case studies on how digital technologies are enabling a future ready supply chain to support the transformation in Takeda will be discussed. This includes how Internet-of-Things (IoT) is harnessed to achieve real-time visibility across the supply chain to improve performance monitoring & management, and how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being used to drive intelligent decision-making to optimize E2E supply chain processes collectively, resulting in improvements in operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, environmental impact and time-to-market.
